A newly opened Asian deli that delivers. This is Goose Deli in Nordvest, on Tomsgårdsvej: true Asian flavors, house ferments and baked goods that blend Asian flavors with classic Danish bakes.
Goose Deli sits on Tomsgårdsvej in Nordvest, and the concept is tight and clever: sandwiches, cold sides and pastries that cross Asian flavors with Danish baking. It is a deli in the real sense, homemade flavors, good heat and jars you can take home.

The liangban sansi first, cold noodles with seaweed, tofu and veggies dressed in Chinese vinegar and a home-fermented sour, clean, fresh and packed with umami. Then the cheesy Jiang puff, flaky pastry filled with Danish Vesterhavsost, chunky fermented bean paste and soft potato, even better once you see what is inside. The tofu curd, super chewy and slightly tangy, so good with a little of their homemade chili oil on top. And their signature Joy Lock Sub, a tender pork meatloaf sandwich with spicy chili oil mayo, pickles and crisp cabbage tucked into soft house-baked milk bread, rich, a little messy and seriously satisfying.

The kaya croissant, flaky and buttery with homemade kaya, a rich coconut jam that is huge in Singapore but hard to find in Denmark, with slivers of cold butter inside, sweet, salty and sinfully good. We grabbed a jar of the jam to take home, and a jar of Spicy Stuff, their in-house chili crisp with real heat.

Great for a casual breakfast or lunch, and even better as a place to stock your fridge with jars you will actually use. Solid flavors, great people, and things worth taking home. Show them some love.
But now… the real question is… where do we go next?
