Not feeling your average toast and jam for breakfast today? Head to Et cetera in the heart of Nørrebro, on Haraldsgade, where breakfast is anything but ordinary.
Et cetera sits on Haraldsgade in Nørrebro, right next to Bageriet B, and it has been doing easy-going Asian breakfast since 2022. It is a small, walk-ins-only spot with a loyal following, and the whole idea is Korean and Japanese flavors turned into a morning menu.
The tamago sando first, a Japanese sandwich filled with creamy egg salad between two slices of shokupan milk bread, with a side of homemade pickles. Then the Korean egg puff, a korokke bun filled with scrambled eggs, chili oil, pickles and cheese, a very nice twist on the classic breakfast sandwich with heat from the chili oil. The granola next: whipped yogurt, black sesame, apple compote and pine, all the granola goodness hidden underneath the yogurt. Tangy, sweet, creamy, crunchy, what a way to start the day.
On the way out we had to grab the cookie: black sesame, Tajín, miso and white chocolate. Let us tell you, that thing checks all the boxes, salty, sweet and full of umami.
It only takes walk-ins, so just drop by when you are in the mood for something good. Perfect for a solo breakfast that is a little more interesting than usual, or a quick, characterful bite before the day gets going. If your usual breakfast is starting to bore you, this is the reset button.
