Elippa

Lebanese · Amager

This is a full Lebanese feast right here in Copenhagen. Elippa on Amager serves bright spices, warm dishes and some of the most comforting meze in the city.

The place

Elippa sits out on Amager, on Martha Christensens Vej, and it plays as a warm, generous little journey through Lebanese cuisine. It is meze-led, which means the joy is in ordering wide and sharing, letting a table fill up with small plates.

Elippa

What we ate

Labneh first, silky and tangy with olive oil and za’atar, the kind of bite you instantly reach for again. Hummus topped with shawarma, tahini, parsley and pine nuts. Shish tawook and kafta with Elippa dressing, pickles and toum. Golden sambousek pastries with seasoned lamb and beef. A fresh, herby break with bright tabbouleh, loaded with parsley, lemon and mint. Shakshuka with soft eggs and warm tomato. Batata hara, roasted potatoes with garlic, coriander, chili and lemon. Kibbeh, crispy bulgur shells with spiced meat, pine nuts and pomegranate syrup. And a cardamom panna cotta with fresh berry compote to finish, a delicious little twist where the cardamom works beautifully.

Elippa

Who it is for

Bring people, order too much, and mop it all up with the bread, that is the whole point of a meze table. It is a real feast, so it rewards a group, and it is worth the trip out to Amager. Elippa delivers big on flavor across every plate.

A beautiful little journey through Lebanese cuisine, and a genuine must-try.

But now… the real question is… where do we go next?
